Let's listen to what the participants
have to say...
|
 |
| I am really very very glad that
I took part in this homestay programme and the thought of it
never fail to bring back fond memories and a smile on my face.
I am really impressed by the Japanese's hospitality, their friendliness
and their enthusiasm in learning. My host did it in such a way
that I really enjoyed the 2 weeks thoroughly - planning programmes
for me to go out and interact with the family as well as their
so called "adventure" for me when they ask me to travel
and explore on my own, giving me the chance to be independent.
Now, I can proudly say that I really know how to move around
(at least in Kansai area) on my own. My host cooks different
meals everyday and this gives me the chance to try out so many
different types of Japanese food. (Chia Boon Kit, Nara) |

Initially, I thought that staying
2 weeks at the same host family might be boring, but I was wrong.
The 2 weeks was only just
enough to let us foster a healthy relationship with our host.
I even thought that 2 weeks spent with them was not enough,
but then again, at the end of 2 weeks, I was also feeling a
little homesick, It was a mixed feeling.
